Reflections At Sunset
by Juliette Lively Dickey
Knowing God, Loving God and being a child of God, with a strong faith in God is the foundation on which this assurance is built. It all comes together in a circle, God, family and earth.
My family and I had fixed up a basket of place mats, candles, candle holders, dish towels, a framed poem as well as one of my poetry books for a nephew's wedding/shower gift. At the shower another niece remarked what a nice heritage to have and keep. That remark and a book I was reading about the life cycle of wolves brought into being this poem.
CIRCLE OF LIFE
God used His Power to create in circles,
The sun, moon and the stars that glow,
The earth and all living things that grow.
He breathed life into man, from dust we come,
and to dust we must go.
It is often said that love makes the world go round,
The axle upon which it turns is Gods Love,
family traditions, and the tie that binds.
For God so loved the world that He gave
His only Begotten Son for redemption of mankind.
As you travel along the circle of life in your time,
keep the faith, the love of God and remind
your children the importance of family ties.
Give them a heritage of which to be proud,
and leave an enduring legacy behind.
